Framework
The frameworks emerged from Maya’s  “big machine,” designed to navigate the ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in decision-making.

The CLEAR  framework

The CLEAR framework provides a structured approach to synthesizing and organizing information, breaking the process into manageable steps to facilitate sound decision-making.

1. Clarify the Decision

Define the decision clearly, specifying its scope, purpose, and importance. Identify constraints and opportunities, such as time limits, budget restrictions, or desired outcomes. Ensure all stakeholders involved understand the context and goals, fostering alignment.

2. List Your Options

Develop a comprehensive list of potential actions or solutions. Collaboratively brainstorm to encourage diverse perspectives. Categorize options based on feasibility, cost, and impact. Include unconventional or high-risk alternatives that might offer unique value.

3. Evaluate the Pros and Cons

Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Consider both short-term and long-term impacts, weighing whether benefits are enduring or temporary. Identify dependencies, such as external factors or resources, that might affect an option’s success.

4.  Assign Importance and Weigh Values

Prioritize factors that align with the decision’s objectives. Assign relative weight to these factors to reflect their importance. Collaborate with stakeholders to rank values, ensuring diverse priorities are acknowledged. Be conscious of trade-offs, recognizing what might be sacrificed to achieve other objectives.

5. Review, Reflect, Respond

Reassess the decision-making process, incorporate feedback, and take action. Reflect on biases or overlooked elements to improve future decision-making. Document the decision and its rationale for reference in similar scenarios. Respond promptly to implement the chosen action while maintaining flexibility for adaptation.

The US framework

The US framework is rooted in Maya’s groundbreaking research, driven by her commitment to using her unique abilities to help others. Her focus centers on guiding relationships to resolve conflicts, which can either strengthen bonds or hinder collective decision-making. The decisions we make together often mirror the connections we share as humans. To foster meaningful and positive outcomes, it is essential to address and facilitate processes effectively. The US framework offers a structured approach to collaboration, decision-making, and facilitation through empathy and inclusivity.

1. Empathy
A cornerstone of healthy relationships, empathy fosters understanding and appreciation, creating a deeper connection built on compassion, respect, trust, and love.

2. Collaboration

Relationships thrive on collaboration, which plays a crucial role in aligning values, goals, and compatibility. Active listening, transparency, compromise, and commitment are key components of this process.

3. Acceptance

Acceptance involves embracing differences with an open mind and valuing each other’s uniqueness. It’s about loving someone despite their flaws and trusting in their intentions to do the right thing.

4. Awareness

Self-awareness enables individuals to recognize their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs and understand how these impact their behavior and interactions. This insight is critical for fostering healthier relationships.
